The Faery Realm is a bestselling fictional series from aspiring author Penelope Rae but she holds one big secret about the world and all of the characters in the stories: they are all real. The Faery Realm is another world linked to our own with one known portal which Penny discovered by accident when she was younger. After her discovery, Penny used to spend most of her time there with her Faery friends but not long after she turned 18 the portal was locked.
Devastated that she would never see her friends again, Penny wrote a book about her adventures there which she eventually developed into a complete series so that she could continue to live in the world she loved most. The first book in the series was published and was very well received and now 22 year old Penny is preparing to launch the release of the second book in the series.
Whilst at a book signing party for the release of her second book, Penny receives some life-changing news. The portal to The Faery Ream has been unlocked.
This would be great news for her, if it wasn't for the fact that the inhabitants of The Faery Realm had discovered the books she's been publishing about their world.
And many of them want revenge for their secrets being spilt to unworthy human.
But when she arrives back in The Faery Realm, she learns that this might be the least of her worries...
