The life of a thief isn't for the faint of heart. Jade Briar has become accustomed to this way of life; always on the run, always hiding. She has gotten used to seeing her bounty on city walls and hearing her name cursed by angry voices in the dead of night. Everything was fine... Until she got caught.

After five years of thievery, Jade expects to be killed. Instead, the King gives her a tempting offer: her help, for her freedom. All she must do is complete a seemingly simple mission in the city built on revenge.
Failure, will mean execution.

But things get a lot more complicated when a ghost from her past shows up.

⚔️This is an incomplete, unedited version of the story. I am in the process of finishing and editing this book that will be available on Amazon when it is complete. ✨ ⚠️Read at your own risk. Legends tell of fearsome beasts, dashing rouges, and hordes of gold. Stories that capture the imagination, of all who dare to read them. This one is no exception, but far more than what meets the eye. For deep within the streets and canals of the great trading city of Talvos. A prophecy will come to life, and change the fates of two young denizens of this fair city forever. While the nobles hide behind their walls and houses, while the merchants count their gold, and while the gangs of the city take refuge in their taverns, brothels, and boxing dens. All unaware of the chaos that shall ensue, in only a mere three days time. Their lives will lay on the shoulders of these two unlikely allies. Tara, a thief known for her cunning, grand escapes, and her reputation as a first rate mage. She has only one goal on her mind, survive the perils of the streets and keep from being tossed into a cell. Then there is Andreas, noble, sharp, a perfect weapon of the king as the tyrant's skilled assassin. A path he chose, to keep at bay the gilded cage that waits for him. Challenges that they will face, along with a pirate queen hunting for a nameless treasure, and a ghostly rouge stealing from the kingdom's elite. Look no further for a story where legends lurk in the shadows, and doors that lead to secrets untold. Where gods walk the earth while monsters haunt the seas. Lannasia Derouv, distinguished member of Elchwen's secretive Thieves' Guild, is commissioned to steal a prized artefact from the heavily fortified estate of Murswich. Her esteemed client is no other than the war general of her country and the High Lord of the North, Remus Kantillion, a man second in power only to her King. When a fire tears through the Northern Lord's campgrounds in the backyard of an ancient and treacherous forest, Lannasia flees with the glowing artefact Kantillion fervently desires-marking herself as a traitor to the North and a wanted criminal by the Crown. In her long and arduous journey travelling the old forest to escape to the Southern Province's capital city, Lannasia meets the kind and wise Alderyth, Master Conjurer of the Mages' Guild, and his arrogant, obnoxious apprentice Nox Artois. Although Nox is constantly bristling with every interaction between the young mage and the thief, Lannasia joins their company in hopes to discover a way to safely return to the Thieves' Guild and revoke the bounty on her head. Will she be able to rid herself of the stolen artefact and return to her life as Master Thief? Or is she bound to live out her life as a fugitive on the run from the second most powerful man in all of Elchwe? The Heist of Sigallah 🏔️ (The Kingdom of Dragons Book 3)

7 Kapitel Abgeschlossene Geschichte Erwachseneninhalt

After weeks of traveling, Rhenor and Kaz finally arrive in Sigallah to hopefully meet up with Kaz's friend Elaya. After spending the day in the city, they do eventually manage to find her, though not in a way they expected. But the surprises keep on coming, as to both Rhenor and Kaz's shock, Elaya is now a part of a group of thieves that plans to steal a large sum of money from the dragons. Even though Kaz is horrified and completely against this idea, Rhenor can't help but be intrigued by what is hearing and when asked, he agrees to join in on the plan, despite Kaz's protests. It seems simple, fast, and best of all, it would mean actively taking part in fighting the dragons. But unfortunately, not everything always works out as it should. And as a consequence, Kaz might have to reveal a truth he had been trying so hard to hide all this time. [word count: ≈ 20 000 words]
