The story of a young man on a personal quest turned bounty hunter at the ends of the wild west era. In the year 1914, after two years of traveling and starving on his own the Stranger decides to start bringing in criminals, dead or alive, for reward money in order to stay alive and feed himself as he continues in search for someone. After it becomes a way of life for him, the Stranger bags in Drew "Snake" Briggs, a particularly large, live bounty, one set by a senator of Texas himself, for the murder of his wife. Things get more complicated when the Stranger is told that he is to take the criminal to the senator himself, something that isn't going to be made easy by Snake's former partners in crime.

It was supposed to be his last day on the job. Unluckily for Killjoy, this crazed, cannibalistic beast tried to make it his last day on Earth. Killjoy had taken this god-forsaken mission for a little bit extra money before he would quit. He was tired. The middle-aged bounty hunter had etched his name across American mythos after decades of killing, gunslinging, and doing dirty work for one too many fat, greedy pigs. It was easy work, but the man can't get any older after years of doing it.
