Malek Servane once belonged to a rich family in the 16th century. In those times not many were able to read or speak fluently, but he was taught how, which gave him pride over most children and even some adults. Until the age of 13 he was living the best you could in that day and age until his entire family was slaughtered before his eyes, leaving him the only remaining member. After his home along with all possessions were burnt down he was forced to live on the streets.
