These are the contest entries for each of the tasks given in LS Beddes's Starving Artist: Hunger Games 2015. I entered as the District One male Tribute, so these entries follow my tribute, Azrael Thanatos. I hope everyone enjoys them.

Nothing else known to the citizens of Panem can quite align with the horrors one can face within these arenas. Each year it changes, each year it's something new, and the Capitol can't get enough. Thousands of tributes have fallen before today, and maybe thousands yet are to follow. But who can resist the smallest chance that you, a tribute, may yet just survive? Who could pass up the chance to ascend to the roar of a nation as a golden crown is placed upon your head... Sure you can try. But some even say the victors never really win. No, to them the games are like a nightmare, reincarnated as an ever following beast that you cannot tame. They say that this is much worse than the games themselves... but now imagine if that beast and the games collide and as a tribute you're being hunted by so much more than fellow tributes... now imagine that you cannot run, and that you have nowhere left to hide. Let the Hunger Games, begin.

Tributes from all over Panem are being taken to the Capitol for the 78th Annual Hunger Games - a normal Games, or so the tributes think. As soon as they arrive in the Capitol, though, before they are even brought to their rooms, they are wheeled into a small room. They are alone. Except for a camera, and a piece of paper telling them to explain their fondest memory, and their worst. As soon as they finish, they are wheeled to another room, this one filled with people and machinery and medicine. Here, a new experimental program, Tabula Rasa, will be performed on them. All their memories will be taken from them. Except for the two they just described Welcome to Panem, and welcome to Writer Games: Amnesia.

Johanna knows that well since her win in the 68th game and her family suffering the consequence of her not bending the knee to the Capitol. She grew cold, distant, and snappy more than before, an angry woman, sending off two tributes to die each year, having stopped caring about anything since there was no one left to hurt to get to her. That was until the 71st group of tributes showed up, a boy and a girl born into the wrong district, to the wrong fate. And finally, there was a chance for District 7 to gain another winner in its small ranks. Finally, there was a chance for Johanna to open up to the world of feelings again.
