Seraphina Fowler and Daniel Thorne have been in each other's lives since birth, but they've never actually held a conversation, much less any type of friendship. They found each other too...different. Aside from their knack for mischief and mayhem, it seemed like they were polar opposites.

Seraphina was the only child of a rich family. Her mother was the city's best doctor while her father was the best lawyer.

Daniel's family was lucky to get by. His father died of cancer when he was young so his mother raised him and his three little sisters alone.
