When her father died three years ago, Becca was forced to grow up, quickly. Her mother had a nervous breakdown and now acts like she's the teenager. But other than having to take care of her adult mother her life was going just as she had planned. She craved the stability and control that her planning gave her. So much of her life she felt like she had no control over things so she left nothing to chance.
So what happens when a stupid school assignment puts her in close proximity with Jack O'Connor one of the hottest guys at her school?
Becca knows Jack, he's a playboy. And she knows this because she lives in the same apartment building she does and sees the bevy of girls he parades around. Nothing good can come from this and she is determined to keep her distance from a boy who may just break her into un-fixable pieces this time. But the more Becca tells him that she wants nothing to do with him the more intrigued he is with her.

The other one: the boy next door. Best friends since he move in during 3rd grade. The sweet guy, always there for her when she needs him. Oh, and the two guys have hated each other since middle school. This story is fun to read with twists and turns. It focuses on friendship, love, what family can look like for different people, and how to keep going after loss and abuse.
