You know things can't be good when you have two high schools in the same town that hate each other.

Baseball and softball are the two most popular sports at these two schools. So when Lincoln High and Jones High come together to play the towns favorite two games of the entire season, things are going to get serious.

It's senior year for both Caleb, pitcher for Jones High, and Alex, pitcher for Lincoln. They are both determined to win this game. And they'll do whatever it takes to make that happen. Well, Caleb's team for sure.

Brennan creates a plan that he is certain will help lead Jones High baseball team to victory. This requires Caleb to go and pretend he is crazy in love with Alex. She's the perfect target for this plan. She's crazy about softball and could probably tell you anything you wanted to know about their baseball team. Brennan thinks that Alex will spit all this information out about their baseball team to Caleb. Caleb will come back to report it and that's how they'll know what to do in their huge game against them.

But instead of Caleb pretending to like her, he accidentally really falls for her. He finds himself totally forgetting about the plan and the game coming up. Alex is his main focus and is all Caleb can concentrate on.

Caleb now has a choice. He can keep the girl he is so madly in love with and let down his team or Alex is just way out of Caleb's league. He can dump her and help his team win the most important game of the year.

Whatever decision he makes, will all lead to a huge disaster.

Summer Jones doesn't have a perfect life - a crazy half family, dropping grades and absolutely no idea on what she's doing in life. This tomboy has no care in the world about anything except her sleep, food and loved ones. In that order (or not). But someone's about to crash that scale of preference and make her mind even crazier. Caleb Anderson seemed to have a perfect life. He had the looks, the crazy psycho girls running behind him and amazing soccer skills. What more could he need, right? Wrong. All he needed was a wild Summer Jones to spice his life up and all she needed was an arrogant Caleb Anderson to show her how to live fully in life. Would these two completely independent people, go past their hatred for each other and depend on that one chance brought to them? *** "I just got started. Wait and watch how I ruin your entire existence." He narrows his eyes at me, challenging me to come at him. "Are you sure you didn't just walk into the wall when you were young? You seem to have had your head hit pretty bad considering the consequential brain cells loss." I say while crossing my arms over my chest to get my point across. "Take care of those heavy words, blondie. You might just have to pay for them." That seemed to anger him so I smirked even more, despite him calling me blondie. Trust me, I've got that a lot. "It's okay, I anyways don't deal with cheap stuff like you." I throw him the most sarcastic smile I could ever muster. Told you it's a love-hate relationship. A humorous non-cliché story with absolute madness, relatable characters, lots of laughter and lots of conflicting emotions from Summer and Caleb. Warning: contains some abusive content. Written by a 16-year-old who has no idea on how to write all this. Promise it gets better after a few chapters :) *** Ranked #1 in badboy on 13/11/2019 #1 in summer #7 in #teenfiction #2 in #hateatfirstsight #1 in Caleb

"Nevermind. So.. who do you like at the moment?" "What?" "Just answer the question, Charlotte." "Uh.. why do you wanna know?" I ask him. "Alright.. since that made you feel uncomfortable.. do you have a boyfriend?" "Um.. that made me feel more uncomfortable, Aiden.." I told him. "Sorry, but I wanted to know before I got to know you a little. I don't want any competition. Because you're a really pretty girl, you know that, Char?" he said to me. That made me blushed a little. I felt a hand under my chin and then I was looking right into Aiden's eyes. "You know that I care about you, right?" He used the same hushed tone. Aiden cared about me? Well, I knew he cared about me, but I didn't know he cared about me. It makes sense. I shrugged. "I don't know," I replied back. "Well, I do. I care about you so much." He whispered.
