During the car ride their car broke down in the forest, Nathan wandered off and discovered a hidden village. The villagers initially appeared hostile but eventually spared his parents. While his family adapted quickly-his mother becoming a caregiver and his father earning respect as a hunter-Nathan struggled to adjust. Life in the village felt foreign, and he struggled with survival skills. Assigned a harsh mentor, Nathan faced frustration and mistreatment but showed persistence. After standing up to bullies, he earned some respect, and his mentor began to soften, though Nathan still felt like an outsider, unsure if he would ever belong, Nathan never thought what his life will be like in the next 10 years. Just a few years back, anyone could tell you that Dex Dizznee was going places; a genius in the ways of science and technology set to graduate a year ahead and coast through college like a breeze. No one excepted it when the teen seemed to have disappeared off the face of the Earth (or at least, the face of the school). His few friends wouldn't spill on where he went and Dex himself would rather die before giving his former classmates the story. He hardly knew how he got into this messy situation in the first place and it was still a mystery how it was keeping him and his siblings afloat.
