I should get a better job. But apparently dressing up in colonial clothing and acting like I just toppled heads-over heels out of 1776, is the only thing I'm good at.

Cricket Fawcett is nothing special. She's your typical college dropout, wannabe actress, and a major theatre nerd. In her attempt to dig herself out of homelessness, she managed to apply, get hired, and retain her current job as a historical tour guide. The pros? She finally has an apartment, and she gets to dress up like Molly Pitcher and Eliza Schuyler while still being taken seriously. The cons? She's still nineteen, struggling to live just above the poverty line , and is very still bored with her current life. Of course, things instantly get a lot less boring when someone topples straight from 1804 and into her life.

Charlie X Reader, 'Playing With Fire' Book 1 (Series Completed) *** "Uh, yeah. I stopped going to classes a while back. Believe it or not, that's not good for the GPA. I had, like, a 26 average or something," I said like it wasn't a big deal. "Damn, that's not great," he admitted. He rounded the corner into Percy's room. I could hear Percy fighting with the twins in their room. "Why'd you do that?" he asked teasingly. "My dad died," I answered honestly. "Oh, shit. I'm sorry," he said and his face dropped. "It's alright," I dismissed. "Seriously, stop looking at me like that." "I can't help it," he said. "You're making it worse. You look like a wounded puppy," I whined. "Don't be like everyone else. I'm sick of people treating me differently because of this whole thing. Treat me normally." "You mean, like flirt with you a little bit?" "Well, I, uh," I stuttered. He grinned at me. "You're blushing." *** Seventh-year Y/N Y/L/N is what the professors would call a prime example of wasted potential, with an impressively bad 26% average. As far as she's concerned, she is past academic redemption. However, Dumbledore and McGonagall decide to introduce a new opportunity for struggling students, a scholarship that covers a trip abroad. Y/N is desperately in need of this scholarship if she wants to graduate from Hogwarts, but she is struggling through more than anyone knows. The only thing that is keeping her going is the family she's found with the Weasleys. They're an odd bunch and that's exactly why she fits in. Because she doesn't. Things are simple with the Weasley family. That is until she crosses a line with one of the Weasley boys, a path that can never be retraced. Y/N finds herself trapped in a web of lies that she had created. One spark and everything she has worked for could be gone in an instant. And she's playing with fire. "Harry, there is not a single song that you could play of yours that I wouldn't know every word to. I love them all. I just told you that Fine Line changed my life. Take the fucking compliment." I raised my brows at her and lifted my chin up slightly. "Quite a dirty mouth you've got when you get passionate, Bee." Then I fished out my phone from my trousers, swiping to my music app and finding a song to test her with. "Every word, yeah?" I clarify, glancing to her with my eyebrows raised. She watched me, catching on to what I was doing. She smirked, then reached behind her to the small side table on the other side of the couch, pressing her finger onto what looked like a black circular Bluetooth speaker until it made a bloop noise and lit up. "Try me." She tossed the rest of the whiskey back. ~~~~ This is a fanfiction that is supposed to resemble the version of Harry that I like to imagine him to be in real life. I use real people from his life, real songs, real albums, but I do not know him personally and therefore this is 100% fictional. As of now, I don't plan on including any outlandish plot points, so it may seem boring in that regard. There is a lot of talking, a lot of staring into eyes, and some smut. I'm writing this for myself, because as Harry has said, "If you're happy doing what you're doing, no one can tell you you're not successful." So whoever finds this and wants to give it a spin, I appreciate you and I accept any and all feedback. But it's ultimately serving as a creative outlet for me. Gotta do something with the Harry obsession besides just scroll Tiktok all day ;)

"Stop pretending to be an idiot, idiot." Ouch. It burns. "You're starting to sound like a dear old friend of mine," she adds, her tone implying that her "friend" isn't so much of a "friend" as a mortal enemy who she probably also dragged into an alley on multiple occasions. Because she must be a fan of alley-dragging. Theater major. "I bet that friend was super amazing," I retort anyway. "She'd have to be to put up with you." Oh! Snap! I grin like an idiot at my own joke, realize how uncool that is, and then quickly rearrange my face into a frown. "I'm sorry. I don't quite understand. You're supposed to be a superhero, so why are you threatening a fellow superhero? Isn't that kind of against our code or whatever?" "You don't have a code. Superheroes who follow codes don't drop off information about people's allegedly dead sons at their doorsteps and then run." Well, can't say she doesn't have a point there. -- After being framed for the horrific murder of Birchwood City's most revered superhero's six year-old son, Maya Waterman abandons her super-villain persona and finds herself lost without any sense of identity and purpose. Being hunted by a vengeful super is hard enough, but after her employer fires her and she's evicted from her apartment, Maya begins to become something she had prayed she would never become again- helpless. She needs nothing less than a miracle to save herself, and much to her surprise, she gets just that-- even if it entails her trying her hand at becoming a good guy for once.

"What the actual fuck? There is a fucking goat in my locker. What the fuck is going on. There is a dog here too?" I can barely stand up because I'm laughing so much and Gabriel can't breath. "This is so funny. I knew this was a good idea." When Thea comes back to her hometown after being gone for a year she hopes to keep a low profile, and accidentally befriending her old friend, getting a panic attack when homecoming is mentioned in front of the whole school and getting arrested along with the principle for having a affair with him don't help her much. Add getting caught making out with your friend on the couch, pranking the school, going back to the gang she grown up with, taking her goat to school multiple times and accidentally fall into a classroom after sneaking around in the ventilation system because drugging her old school seams fun. Yeah, being back won't be easy and she won't go unnoticed like she hoped. THE FIRST CHAPTERS MAY BE BORING AND BAD. I WROTE THEM A WHILE AGO, BUT ENJOY ANYWAYS. WARNING, EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK IS PROBABLY ON DRUGS AND I HAVE THE WORST GRAMMAR BECAUSE ENGLISH ISN'T MY FIRST LANGUAGE, IF YOU SEE A GRAMMAR OR SPELL ISSUE, PLEASE COMMENT AND I WILL FIX IT. ALSO, THIS BOOK IS KINDA OFFENSIVE, A LOT OF BAD LANGUISH, BAD THINGS AND OTHER NON KID ACCEPTED THINGS, SO DON'T READ IT IF YOU'RE TOO YOUNG AND SENSITIVE TO THAT SHIT. NOW I HAVE WARNED YOU, DON'T HATE ON ME THEN. I ALSO HAVE THE WORST HUMOR SO PREPARE FOR BAD JOKES AND STUFF LIKE THAT.
