While cleaning Germaine's attic, Avarice, Aeced, Margaret and Lukas came across some things Germaine, the eccentric, childish goddess, never told them about- journals that function as time traveling devices. And as they go along, they realize that the life-blood of their world, and alternate worlds, rely on the constant ticking of clocks, clocks who are connected to certain people who are to either the King/Queen of the Clocks, and just how tragic the results are if these people are killed. Would they accept the mission to repair one clock that had stopped ticking?
