She can't remember anything but her depression. She's fallen in a hole so deep she doesn't want to live anymore. She doesn't want to do anything anymore. The only thing she ever does is lie on her hospital bed with her eyes closed and earbuds in her ears. Take them away and she panics. Leave her alone and she lies there like a vegetable.

But one day a different song comes on, one she hears more clearly than all the rest.

And she opens her eyes.

I'm calling this a Twenty One Pilots fanfiction, but it's also teen fiction. No, Tyler and Josh are not characters in this. Sorry.
