Framlingham, Suffolk, 1348. A young orphaned girl discovers her abilities to perform witchcraft at the age of 8. Her were parents executed in front of her eyes. An isolated child, who was bullied and mistreated at the orphanage where her Aunt, Harriet was forced to raise her. Now she is eighteen years of age and is accused of being a Black Witch. Brought up on her witchcraft. The young knight, Henry, a deserter of the Church, who is also friends with Annabelle, is forced to take his childhood friend to Manchester Cathedral so she can be exorcised. The tiring journey north uncovers dark and dastardly pasts of those involved in the transportation of the Black Witch. Despite its overall ease, what will they discover when attempting to remove the demon spirit which supposedly inhabits Annabelle?

This is the prequel to "The Infectious Series." The first book in the series is "Infectious Intent," second is "Infectious Devotion" and third is "Infectious Submission." I would recommend reading the series before reading this book. It isn't needed to understand what is going on within the story, but it might spoil a few things if you decide to read this first before the trilogy. (F/n) (L/n), an apprentice to her mother for the art of weaving, stumbles upon a group of knights with her friend Jacob when they're seven years old. She encourages the knights to have safe travels due to the war occurring at the time, and one of the knights leaves a token behind for her as a means of thanks for her wish. Becoming fixated by this token, (f/n) strives to improve her craft all the more in hopes of one day meeting this knight and having a gift to present him back as her own token of thanks. In doing so, however, she unknowingly causes a hatred to brew within her village of Levonshire. Is it a matter of if the hatred will strike, or is it a matter of when will the hatred make its lasting mark on the village and (f/n)? I do not own the cover picture and videos (content within videos, etc.) used in the story.
