"Cayderella" (A Modern Cinderella Story With A Gender Bend Twist)

"If Cinderella was a boy though... What would his name be anyway?"

Somewhere In The Early 21st Century (Redensinton, U.S.A.):
Cayden Alexander Mimsis was about 8 when his first best friend and first love, Tiara Christina Rington moved away with her parents. At age 11, his mom passed away from an unknown illness. His stepfamily (Stamford Corrolin and his sons; Tucker and Trevor) took over his home. "Clarissa's Heart & Thought" became "Corrolin & Sons."... And Cayden had become Cayderella.
Life became hopeless, heartbroken, and abusive for Cayden Mimsis, in a place he had once called home.
Seven years passed; Cayden is 17, a twelfth grader, and a school outcast with his two best bros forever since sixth grade (Keitaro "Ket/Kei-Tune" Minizuki and Alvin "Al/Al-Man" Taymer)... Yet Cayden's still Cayderella to Stamford.
But on the first day back to school. Cayden bumped into Tiara in the hallway!
Cayden's happy to see her back and wants to reconnect. But knows that Tucker and/or Trevor will see and report to Stamford.
Yet from the looks of things, Tiara's going through something behind the scenes.
But with the advice from two friends the same age as him in Camdale, Kori Pendant, and Kale Mason. Cayden figures out a sneaky way to cheer her up--slip uplifting messages in her locker signed, Y.C.C.
When the annual twelfth-grade Halloween event, The Masked Man Ball, draws near.
Cayden asks Tiara out to it in a message and the meeting spot is the center of the dance floor. Yet doesn't tell her what his costume will be.
But will Tiara agree to go with a "mystery man?" Will Cayden reveal his identity to her there? Or will midnight come before they know it? And will Cayden get his "happily-ever-after?!"
How will this modern-day version of this Grimm Brothers' fairy tale go?
