A Series of Light and Dark: The Nature of Light

In the beginning, there was only Dark and the world was grey, until the Great Light came, and it shed its glow upon the beings which lay waiting. These beings took power from the Great Light, and waged war on the Dark, and won, creating the Age of Light.

The victors named themselves gods and created humans in their image. Their leader, Mular, God of the Flames, established their kingdom high on the Bright Plateau around the Great Light, and the humans set up their kingdoms around it. All prospered, the the future was bright. But it is the nature of light to fade...

The Age of Light is coming to an end, and the Dark now creeps back in. The human kingdoms have began to panic and now have risen in war against each other and rebel against the gods and even worse, a new Light has broken out, the Chaos Flame, and with it demons came into the world. The gods now accept that their fate is sealed, except Mular.
