It is the year 2163. Earth has expanded its boundaries to the domed city of Hale on Mars. Hale was the first successful colony city on the red planet, and is now home to massive corporations, manufacturing centers, small and large independently owned businesses, and a thriving entertainment industry. But the project's staff, students and security guards are all hiding more secrets than the libraries they have rescued contain, and at least one of them is prepared to kill to protect them. It has been a stressful year for Rain who has struggled to keep up with the workload during her first year of marine biology at University. This isn't the first unexplained death to occur in this spot, after all this is the same loch where three children were discovered floating dead in the Loch during a game of hide and seek at a birthday party.
