When Spencer wakes up cold and alone. The only thing she has is a backpack, a useless tattoo, and her wits. Its only when she meets up with others like her that she realizes they aren't alone and along with one hundred people, are trapped under a giant glass dome. Its the ultimate struggle to survive and is now a game of the fittest, only the strongest and smartest survive the trials. Only one question remains, will the trials kill them all or will the lack of rules and rivalries kill them first?

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? There is a phenomenon happening in a world of humans. Some of them are being born with large tattoos on their back of a language nobody can figure out but other people with the tattoo. They call them "Sigils" Sigils Bearers are rejected, executed, and aborted before they get a chance in life. The remaining old generation of Sigil Bearers decided to run away and make a place called The Unseen where their people can thrive and live. This has worked for quite some time until a Surface Dweller fell down into their peaceful world. Their Commander sees this as a problem but then gets an idea. This boy that has fallen into our little paradise has an issue. No Sigil, but a monster lives inside of him. What if knowing more about him could save her people? Show the Surface Dwellers that Sigil Bearers are human too? Maybe then they will stop killing children and slaying innocent Sigil People. COMPLETED Roselyn is heading for her first-ever interview for one of the world's top enterprises. Being late, she steps into an almost-empty elevator and is attracted to the handsome man in a gray suit that compliments his electric blue eyes. She, of course, doesn't start any conversation between them. They are strangers after all, and she is not tempted to flirt with some random guy despite her interest. My tense jaw muscles tick as I grate my molars. 𝐶𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑘. 𝐶𝑙𝑢𝑛𝑘. That is the sound of metal breaking. I am sure of it. But what's outside? The maintenance crew? The firefighters? My lungs start constricting again. Stop. I have to stop overthinking. It's going to be fine. 𝑀𝑢𝑛𝑐ℎ. 𝑆𝑡𝑜𝑚𝑝. 𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑎𝑛. Light comes through the tiny puncture. First a beam, then a shaft, finally a gap. Fingers situate themselves onto the elevator floor. Blood-red cover the tips. Why will there be red paint on fingers? A long-lost dreadfulness pours into every pore of my body as a grim augury preoccupies my distressed mind. I unconsciously scoot to the back of the elevator, pressing my body close to Mr. Uburg's as I cling onto his robust arm. Hands grip onto the elevator door and use bare strength to rip the metal further apart. Then, a blood-plastered face comes into view. His bloodshot eyes bore into me with hunger. Patches of flesh on his forehead and cheek are torn. His nose is gone, replaced by a seeping wound. His teeth are crimson, a piece of fiber in between the gap of his incisors.
