Two worlds. Two children. One old. One new. That's how it's been for the past millennium, and that's how it's planned to stay. The two worlds, separated only by a thin barrier, are as different as chalk and cheese. One of the worlds is far behind the other technology wise, but has magic. The other has no magic, but has technologies far more advanced. Two children from different worlds, somehow, as babies, were switched. Struggling in a world they where they don't fit in, the pair are desperate to get back to their own home. But that has complications of its own. As the two struggle in their different worlds, a larger plot seems to be afoot. Who switched them? And why? A twelve-year-old girl named M's life is turned upside down when a mysterious boy drags her into an underground world, where magic and treasure await. But there's something lurking in the shadows that could put M's life and everything she loves at risk. **UNEDITED** (Please excuse any grammatical or spelling errors, these are completely accidental and do not reflect my writing and English skills) If you read the story, I'll love you forever, except I won't because that would be just a little bit creepy. Please leave me a comment somewhere if you believe this story should be rated mature. I'm not entirely certain myself. The first of 'The Misfortune' trilogy.
