Mae had a routine for everything. That is, until a certain someone disturbed it, at least. She had never been in 'love' or in any form of a serious relationship. Not that she believed in the concept of 'love' to begin with. For Mae, 'love' was basically just the whole dopamine, oxytocin and whatnot working its magic. Something Mae found nothing but troublesome. She hid behind her mask and went with life peacefully. Jay was just a happy-go-lucky freelance photographer. He lived life on his own terms and did things as he wanted. Naturally, his love for travel coupled with his slightly unstable profession did not do anything to help him find a life partner, not that he was searching. Well, at least until he visited his beloved half-sister and unexpected found himself completely taken by a certain stubborn, fake-glasses wearing woman almost a decade younger than him. Safe to say, neither of them had planned this. But again, neither of them particularly minded. And never would Mae accept a long-distance relationship, and Jay proved to be her best ticket and prize from her mundane life and job. One likes to play it safe simply because and the other is just beyond caring. One is an only child with no strong familial relationships and the other has a huge, close-knit family where all of them are just barely related. They are as different as it gets, yet they find themselves changing. Now how will this love story fare? Oh, and another fun fact: both of them are just idiots in love. Enjoy the read!
