***A WATTPAD FEATURED STORY Sept 6th 2016***

  "Yoda was not a master of the Light Side-or the Dark. He was between them." Luke Skywalker hears this from a mysterious Jedi prisoner during her interrogation and frees her to investigate what she means. Undercover for her own gain, she killed her Sith master to aid the Rebellion, but was arrested for intentionally killing a boy while she wore a warm sane smile... Luke---tormented with questions---resists the unresolved darkness within him from his father's death, and fights to learn the forgotten secrets of the Force:

  How did the Force originate and why?
  What doesn't Yoda trust me to know?

  Is her forgotten Light Side just as depraved and powerful as the Dark Side?
  Why was the practice of it forbidden and forgotten?
  Does her fearless play in battle come from a robust will or is she truly insane?

  Am I really a Jedi?

  =======================

  Star Wars: The Ancient Force presents as a 280-page novel that aims to elaborate on how the Force works while providing a compelling new arc for Luke after Return of the Jedi. Dark yet fun and PG-13, it aims to keep within the Star Wars style. It uses only canon of films 1-6 to reinterpret and explain the Force, events, and character motivations while it introduces new complex characters, fixes loopholes, and provides depth to canon clichés.

  It is the first published work of a writer with over 13 years of experience in developing fiction.

What if Luke were on Ahch-To with a purpose? What if Luke had a prior connection to Rey? What if Captain Phasma had a whole other identity that connected her to key players on both sides of the galactic struggle for power? What if Snoke had a whole other relationship with his apprentice, and with the Dark Side? What if the Knights of Ren were right under our noses, just waiting to break forth and reunite with their Master? And what if the story was fun, and funny, without making fun of itself? Isn't that a Star Wars you would want to experience? 'The Last Jedi' divided fans, but maybe 'The First Jedi' can bring them back together. Experience an Episode VIII story in which heroes and villains alike are more complex, more deeply intertwined in each other's stories, in which heroes elevate each other, and in which the Force, its users, and those sensitive to it manifest themselves in ways that have long been hinted at, but never seen before... The backlash against 'The Last Jedi' has been ugly, painful and disrespectful to many members of the diverse Star Wars fan community. The purpose of this project is not to add fuel to that fire or excuse any of that terrible behavior. Indeed, my goal is to help heal those wounds. 'The First Jedi' does not erase the women or people of color in 'The Last Jedi'. Holdo, Rose and all the other new characters are still here; indeed, they have as much or more to do in this story. Star Wars is supposed to be fun; and fandom is a kind of love. There is no room here for hate. Whether you loved or were disappointed by 'The Last Jedi', everyone can enjoy this respectful reimagining of the Episode VIII story. So please enjoy! And let me know what you think! I can't wait to hear from you! --First Jedi Screenwriter

"Ben, BEN! Why are you doing this?" "I have to" "I see under the sheet of darkness that has fallen upon you, come back before it's too late!" "It already is too late. Goodbye, Rey." Then Rey felt herself fall into a deep, un-peaceful, and dark sleep. Kylo Ren slowly glided away from her unconscious form. A tear, although invisible from the rest of the universe underneath his mask, fell down his cheek. Kylo Ren left the scene of the massacre, where he had just murdered dozens of former fellow Jedi padawans, at the academy his uncle had established. He didn't look back, for he knew that if he did, he would totally break...he would be torn apart. Please note that this story STARTS in the time while Kylo Ren/Ben is at the Jedi Academy and that this story was written directly after The Force Awakens! It does not include ANY of TLJ or TROS canon, please be aware of this as you read. Also I wrote this like 3 or 4 years ago, excuse my grammar mistakes. Yes, I know they're there. No, I will not be fixing them, I'm too lazy for that. Highest Ranking: #4 in Reylo November 2018 I (obviously) do not own Star Wars, only characters that I may create...this is a REYLO fanfiction, so if you do not appreciate or if you dislike this match up, please do not read! I wish not to receive hate! Please forgive me if there are some inaccuracies in here that may not EXACTLY follow the canon Star Wars Universe. I hope you all enjoy my writing! Regards, M.J.

"We've passed on all we know. A thousand generations live in you now, but this is your fight." A familiar voice, Luke's, whispers. Luke Skywalker stands net to R2-D2 the sky around him burns shades of orange, yellow and red and behind him a Jedi temple burns. Kylo feels his father's hand upon his face the watched as his father falls into the abyss. "Your journey nears its end." A sinister voice now whispers, and a flash of blue light reveals a fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers filling the vastness of space as blue fire leaps between them. A powerful red laser of an unseen weapon obliterates the surface of a planet. Shrieks, whispers and screams and then the sound of a lightsaber igniting. A fiery red saber but behind that saber is Rey, her hand twitches and the saber becomes a double-pronged staff. A maniacal evil laugh cackles. Kylo woke with a start and sat upright on his bed. Written after the first trailer dropped and finished before the film was released. Contains references to previous films, novelisations and comics. I'm a Reylo shipper but there will be no major smut- one additional slightly adult chapter at the end of the book. #Bendemption #Reyloisendgame #1-starwarsfanfiction 25.12.19 #1- Dyad 4.5.20 (May the 4th be with you) #1-Bendemption 4.4.20 #17- Reylo 25.8.20 #1-episode iv 30.11.20 #2- reylofanficyion 6.1.22 'This is legit my favourite reylo fan fiction OMG it's so in character and like literally perfect for episode 9 I'm dying this is amazing.' 'You definitely did justice to this story, so much warmth and hope at the end.' 'Why couldn't Rise of Skywalker be just THIS?? This story is miles better than what we got. This was wonderful and healed so many wounds inflicted by that movie. Thank you so much for sharing this. Your hard work is much appreciated!' "When I offer you my hand again, you'll take it." What if Kylo Ren had been right? What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? But can the two of them overcome their differences and mistrust of each other to accomplish that task or will pride win out? And then there is a certain group of meddling Force Ghosts determined to test them to their fullest. Meanwhile, Finn has a destiny of his own to fulfill chasing visions of his past across the galaxy. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. This will contain mature and graphic content. 11/9/20 #1 in Palpatine #2 in Reylofanfiction 11/24 #37 in Reylo 12/14/20 Almost 9k reads, y'all are the best #61 in Star Wars (out of 26k!) #1 in reylofanfiction #1 in greyjedi 5/2/21 #3 in Reylo I am completely blown away by you all! 5/6/21 #1 in Reylo you all are awesome! "I wanted to join you," Rey said, tears dripping from her face. "Then why didn't you?" Menace crept from Kylo Ren's voice as he turned to make deathly eye contact with her. "You know why!" "Enlighten me," he threatened, though it sounded like a plea. "It wasn't our time, Ben, you know that." Rey's voice shook a little. "When is our time?" Kylo's voice became lighter. "You already know the answer to that," she sniffled. *** The Force knew Rey was to be in Kylo Ren's life just as Kylo was to be in Rey's. However, both individuals prayed and hoped for very different outcomes. Rey wanted nothing more than to bring Kylo Ren back to the Light. She wanted to show him the wonders it provided and the life they could have if he returned to her. Kylo wanted to bring her to the Dark Side. He wanted to rule with his bride by his side. The Force was the only one who truly knew what the future held. *notes: -this is set after the last jedi but before the rise of skywalker. some things have been changed to better fit my story -there will be descriptions of violence, self harm and alcohol. i will not be putting warnings unless deemed necessary as i am stating here what to expect from the story -i will be editing this as i go along and because of that, some chapters might be reposted to fit the edits i made -of course, these are not my characters! if i use artwork, the artist will always be credited. -enjoy❤️ and feel free to comment your opinions! i appreciate you!! :) rankings i'm proud of: 1 in #rey - october 10, 2021 1 in #thelastjedi - october 10, 2021 1 in #reylo - november 10, 2021 1 in #kyloren - october 12, 2021 1 in #bensolo - february 14, 2022
