Selena Hathaway is starting her junior year of high school. For the past two years she was abused by her now ex-boyfriend and it still haunts her. Now that he's in jail, she wants to put the past behind her and focus on school. What she doesn't realize is that she is shutting her best friend and family out. But her brother's best friend, Alexander Hollingsworth, notices it and can't help but find the need to help her let people in again, yet she resists. He has a troubled past too that only Oliver knew about. Who knows? Maybe one day they'll both let each other in and possibly fall for each other while doing so.
