At the mere age of 7 Arina Kuznetsov was taken from her family in Russia and smuggled into America to serve as a slave to the Blood Moon Pack. They abused her, degraded her, humiliated her, did everything possible to break her spirit, but Ari kept strong. She knew that one day if she held on to the sanity they were trying to take that she would make it home and make it back to her family.

To complicate matters the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack, Daniel Shaw, has lost his marbles and wants to team up with rogues in order to bring down the werewolves' patroness Selene, known to them as Luna. In order to prevent this Selene gives Ari the powers of the Guardian and instructs her to bring down the Blood Moon pack at any costs.
