I take a deep breath. "Because it's said to be that it's when the city sleeps. But honestly, I don't think that's true. Some people are still out 'n about, busy as it's the daytime. This is when I can think, my time to myself. At midnight; everything happens at midnight. As the saying goes, it's the city that never sleeps."

Midnight Memories is a coffee shop that Emmalyn Knight goes to at midnight to sit, drink her Skinny Latte, and think. It's her place of relaxation. Most people don't come out at midnight, so it's empty at Midnight Memories with only Emmalyn and the owners there...most of the time.

Emmalyn Knight is a quiet girl who likes to keep to herself. She loves to draw, take pictures, and do what most girls do - hang out with their best friend. Emmalyn works at her parents guitar shop seven days a week. But nobody knows that at midnight, Emmalyn leaves to her favorite favorite coffee shop to think - until now.

Liam Payne isn't your average, cute British bloke you see in a coffee shop at midnight. No, he's in a world famous boy band with millions of fans around the world. With all the pressure about writing a new album and the upcoming tour, Liam just wanted some peace and quiet, so he went to Midnight Memories to find it. What he didn't expect was to meet a beautiful girl who, for once, didn't scream when she saw him.

Emmalyn and Liam aren't what you would expect, but love is love, and nothing will stand in their way to finally have their happiness.
