"Hey Leila you remember the other day when you mentioned that your brother needed a new roommate and that if he couldn't find one within two weeks he would be kicked out of his apartment? Well I think I have a solution. Call me back when you get this". I put down the phone after I left her the message and went back to bed trying to block my mind from all the things racing through it. Anna is fed up with her parents controlling her life. When the opportunity to get out of their house arises she jumps at the chance, but then after she meets her new roommate does she regret her decision? Everything about him is the complete opposite to her and her life, she doesn't know how to deal with everything that comes along with him.

Helen's parents demand that she marry the man they've chosen for her or be disowned. She chooses to be disowned. But that isn't good enough for them. They make sure that she either doesn't get jobs or they make sure that she gets fired from them. She loses her apartment and all her things do to them. They are sure that she'll give in and marry the man they've chosen rather than live on the streets. But then again, they've never really paid much attention to their daughter unless they wanted something from her. Helen would rather live on the streets and eat out of garbage dumpsters then return to her parents and marry the man that would make her life a living hell. At least on the streets she's free. She might starve or freeze to death but she'll be free. Then one day three men come after her, intent on forcing her and beating her for what little she has. Before one of them does more than grab her arm the three are gone. Helen looks down and finds them on the ground with their hearts torn out of the bodies. She looks at the person that did that in horror but then her sight goes black.
