Aincrad (First Arc, SAO)Edit
    Main article: Aincrad Arc
In the year 2022, Kirito (the main protagonist), a solo player who had the luck-of-the-draw to play the beta version, and the many other players of Sword Art Online (SAO) are trapped inside of a game, unable to logout; the only way to live is to win. Death in-game means death in the real world; tampering with or prolonged power outages to the Nerve Gear, the gear that simulates in-game character control by redirecting brain signals, also means death. To win means to defeat the final boss on the top floor; out of the original 10,000 players at the start, two years later, over 6,000 remain with 26 floors left to clear.

Volume 2 also contains four side stories that take place within two years of the SAO incident.

In a game where many players perceive to be the dream world to be in, Sword Art Online has taken the world by storm, giving 10000 players across the globe the chance to experience the very first VRMMORPG in its official launch. None of them knew that SAO would soon turn out to be a prison, designed to force players to fight in a realistic world where dying means death. In a world where players should never have suffered and despaired, the instinct that would unconsciously run in every player's mind would surface... That is..."To Survive". Zenalyth, one of the 300 Singaporean players who were lucky enough to dive into SAO, has this instinct clearly etched into his mind. Survival was always at the top of his priority list, in whatever he goes through. In this grand quest of clearing the Floors of Aincrad, Zenalyth would face many challenges that would test his mettle and his resolve, to ensure that he, and eventually his comrades, would survive in this increasingly unforgiving world. In case those reading Chronicles of Survival come across this, the series's chapters have moved over to here. That was actually a continuation of the Chapters 1 to 23 that you see here, so yea Check this story out in Aincrad Amino and SAO Amino as well! The Oni's Story

40 parts Ongoing Mature

In that castle floating high in the sky, ten thousand people got locked inside. Their only way forward was to beat the final boss, or die trying. Two whole years were spent there, stuck in that castle. Each and every one of those who survived have their own story to tell. This is one such story, about a battle-fanatic who earned the moniker of 'the Blood Red Oni'. We might stick close to the original story, or we might veer greatly off-course. Only the Gods will know, for I surely don't. Title is also still very much a Work in Progress, this was just the first thing I could think of. Honestly this has just been a thing that's been brewing deep in my mind for months now, so instead of just daydreaming about random scenes and story bits I decided to actually 'put it to paper' in some form. Updates might be scarce, or they might be fast. Entirely dependant on my inspiration and my time. As with every story, I don't own anything regarding SAO or its story, except for the characters I made I guess.
