Pick has learned that making friends is possibly the worst thing you can do. You'll only be abandoned and hurt by the end of it, so just don't make friends. Pick scares off the kids at his new school in an attempt to be left alone, but one kid named Duncan insists on staying around. It's a story about a boys path of self discovery and how his life changes from just meeting one person.
