Ever since the dead began to walk the earth, feigning terror on the citizens of the world, that girl and her dog avoided just about anything that moved. She didn't trust anyone, or anything for that matter. She had seen what those things could do. One bite or scratch and you were soon to be one of them yourself. Gnawing on your friends flesh only to want and need more. Unless you were one of the smart ones who took your own life rather than becoming one of those ungodly things.

The days before the apocalypse were always long-dreading going to work, or talking to people when you really didn't feel like it. Yet these days were much much longer-giving anything to go to work rather than fighting for your life, or give anything to talk to those once annoying people.

She would have sacrificed anything to go back to her old life. Even if it was just as screwed up as this new life.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of The Walking Dead characters, or the story line. I have made my own storyline for parts of this book which will be incorporated throughout the story. Therefore, the story line will not be fully in use 100% of the book, but it will still be used quite a bit.

Millions of grammatical errors-you have been warned.

Romance should be the last thing on her mind once the world ended- and it was... until she met Daryl Dixon. While trying to adapt to the way the new world had changed her, it seems as though he was the only one standing by her side. The dead aren't the only thing she has to fear when the thing she loves the most is ripped away from her, and she must face being completely and utterly alone in a world full of the dead.
