My Life In Rhyme is a series of poems, each one about something that has either killed me, or brought me back to life.

Shell Of A Man
"I guess just spending time with some people fixes everything." Carrying the burdens of his past was Jason Smith. Numb. Emotionless. After all those years, what remained was just a shell of a human being. Dragging his life, one day at a time, because of the promises he made to his mother. Carrying the guilt of being the sole survivor of an accident was Raymond Holt. But, when life gave him a second chance to be alive, he accepted it with open arms. Burying the guilt deep inside, he lived his life to the fullest. He was quite the ray of sunshine. When the two guys first met at the NYU Law School, differences occurred, but eventually, they fell for each other. But, college love is young love, and it doesn't always withstand the hardships of life. Being oblivious to what they had found with each other broke their hearts, and they walked their separate ways. Years later, when they cross paths again, the circumstances are against them. Will they be able to overcome their differences? Will they be able to correct their mistakes and make up for the lost time? Most importantly, will they be able to move on from what transpired all those years ago? Read to find out. A/N: I don't know shit about the law. This is everything that I learned by watching Suits and How To Get Away With Murder. ↞↞↞♛↠↠↠ Everyone makes at least one mistake in their life; if you don't, you're not human. I just happen to be one of those people who make a lot of mistakes. To start with, there were the Rumours. You know, those things that only powerful people can make up? Yeah. Those. They were the beginning of everything that ever went wrong in my life, but also the thing that led me to the end. Although, I didn't know that at the time, so a few bruises and kisses down the line, I found myself faced with a big problem. I had to choose between three people, all of whom had been lying about everything for months. That wasn't an easy task for someone like me, but the biggest issue? The one who made me cry the most tears was the one I couldn't help but love. ↞↞↞♛↠↠↠ "I never meant to hurt you, River." "Then why did you do it? Why did you do all of those things? ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʙᴇʟɪᴇᴠᴇ ɪɴ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ʟᴏᴠᴇ? ᴄᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜ sᴏʟᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴍʏsᴛᴇʀʏ? Murder... The word that people despised. It brought not only loss but stands for death. One of the many things that scares humans; as their was really no way to control it... One of the many things that changed her life forever. ~ "Please don't leave me." I pleaded, looking down at my my limp mother. Her blood went around us, staining the floor. This is all my fault... If only I had locked the door that night. The intruders words rang through my head, over and over again; like a broken record. "This is all your fault." My father spit. Breaking anything in his path. That day the old him was gone, never to return. The nightmare of this day would haunt me in my sleep; as my life was never the same. Life was unfair, the world is a horrible place. It was like everything came crashing down at one moment. The only person I had left after that was my best friend... We slowly grew apart as he didn't know what went on behind the doors of my house. Years passed, as the day still made my life worse. Not having the money to move I was still stuck in the same house... By the same river. Soon anouther murrder happened, the same way as... My mother's. Suspicions spread though the small town. A twenty minute ride to there. I would live in town to if I had the money. That day when the decective came to the door; it was just fate. As I didn't know it then... But, he would save me. It... Was just something about the way he looked at me; that made my heart go a mile a minute. They pooped together, They dressed together, celebrated birthdays together gone to school together and so much more. He was her pillow, She was his Blanket. People see them as Brother's and sisters but what about them? What do they see one another as? Heading to college, Lovetta realizes its now or never to confess her feelings... But what would happen? Would it affect there relationship they already share or would it bring them together. Going up and down battling, This 18 year old girl faces through hard times just for her one love she doesn't want to let go. Thoughts of a Juvenile
Words are sharper than knife they say. Yes it is true. Some perfectly moulded good words can both make and break a heart easily. A poem is a group of such perfectly moulded words given wings to fly. They fly through the mind and heart easily. A hobby is an activity we do to express ourselves, our beliefs and our thinking. For example through drawing, dancing, singing, etcetera. Writing a poem is one of such hobbies. Here words are used. These words and messages are far more twisted. A poem hits the mind, a good poem hits the heart. Thoughts Of A Juvenile is just a collection of my poems.I started writing poems when I was 8. I may not be a great writer. But yeah I write to express. There have been times for me like many other teenagers where I thought I was lost and helpless. There have been good times too. I'm standing on the edge of teenage now, telling you that you can survive this. You can survive everything. All you need is to find your strengths. There are sad nights and then there are mornings full of opportunities. Don't give up. I'm here and I'll always be here. Whenever you feel down just remind yourself "Be stupid". Go out in public and the eat the food you like alone, ask out your crush, flirt like there's no one watching, dance like a ghost has possessed your body, prank people, have a little chat with the nerds you know. Surviving is an art not many can master. Be a Master. There are mistakes in this book and I tried my best to correct them. But couldn't correct them all. So forbidden it's borderline illegal. It feels illegal in a town like this. It was just sex. Ridiculous, I hate you sex with the one guy in school I had no business being with. But the line between love and hate blurs easily. And in a town like this, where secrets are hard to keep, we're playing with fire. Quitting him doesn't work, especially when he wants me even worse than I want him. Despite how much he hates me, despite that we were destined to hate each other. The only sure way to keep a secret is to be the only one who knows it. But this secret already involves two. And it's bound to get out and wreak havoc on my life and my plans for escape. They say all good boys go to heaven, but bad boys bring heaven to you. And that's what he brought me, Heaven. We were terribly perfect for each other. We'd argue, we'd scream- hell we'd throw things at each other. But at the end of the night we'd lay beside each other. What started off as a silly deal to get us both going ended up as so much more than i could've ever imagined... He was the worst best thing that happened to me, but our dark pasts ruined us.
