Fire is painful. It's hard to capture, and once you capture it, there are only certain ways you can contain it. However, you can't  tame it, not in any way. It will bite you and burn you and fight back, not allowing you to tame it in any way, nor pet it. It's wild, even if it seems calm and gently in the beginning. If you capture it and don't let it go soon, it will burn itself out.

Ice is cold. It's solid, and difficult to use. You can't break it easily, and you will sooner be in pain before you make any progress with it. However, with enough fire, ice will melt down, becoming softer, yet harder to capture or pin down. And if you melt it too much, it will melt into water, which will evaporate, and then you'll have nothing left of neither fire nor ice.

This is my own personal version of how our lovable Dr. Harleen Quinzel fell in love with the psychopathic clown known as The Joker. This will be a dark story. I mean, it is about Joker and his story isn't a pretty one. There will be dark, mature themes in this book. It is not for the faint of heart. That being said, if you are not comfortable with this, then skip those parts. I will have them marked, and I will leave subtle hint, so you get the basic gist of what happened. It was an inside joke. Each of the 'batfam' had a weakness. No one - not even Alfred - knew Batman's. Damian's was easy; Damian's was the heat. Couldn't stand it; he got way too hot way too quickly. Tim's was the dark. Was never found asleep without either a light on or the door open with a light on outside. Jason's was water. He couldn't hold his breath and had panic attacks when he had prolonged contact; say he was in a pool. Dick had two; cold and poison. He froze in twelve degrees (C) and never left the house with a jacket on. And the poison traveled at least three times as fast through his bloodstream as he didn't clot easily. Alfred had one too; as impossible as it seems.
