Trinity Winton, Caucasian, has lived in Illinois her whole life. That is until her parents, the head of Winton Inc., have to leave on a business trip for a while. Leaving her to move in with her Aunt and Uncle from New York city. Which means she will have to leave all her friends and her (now ex) boyfriend, Brice. Who isn't so happy about it. Keep in mind she's very wealthy and very clueless.
  
     When Trinity begins her Junior year at Taron High, she wants to go back to her old school until she meets Carter Anderson, an African American who changes her perspective on everything. And they become close friends and learn more about their past and futures, they begin to fall in love. Yet not everyone wants that. Can they except their past and move toward their new futures?
