Calypso, a Sea-SandWing hybrid dragonet, has lived a happy life with her father, Coyote, in their hidden oasis in a desert valley.
But Coyote has gone missing after a hunt when a sandstorm hit, and Calypso has been chased away from the oasis by mysterious dragons. 
Worse yet, she discovers she's being hunted by the brutal SandWing sister, Burn, for Burn's notorious collection. Her only allies are two outlaws who Calypso barely knows. 

Can she find her father and rescue him, all while being hunted down relentlessly by Burn's dragons? Or will she be captured and locked inside Burn's fortress- forever?

The twist is that the Skywing is James, or Phoenix in this story. Basically James gets pulled into a portal that takes him to the WoF universe, and in order to go back to his home he has to do one thing: help the rest of the dragonets stop the war. I'll be keeping Glory in bc I don't wanna leave out our sassy Rainwing queen, and also bc plot. Of course, there will be plenty of things that will change, which you will see as the story progresses! Keep in mind that characters may act OOC (Out Of Character) to fit my writing style, so I don't want to see any of you yell at me about it. If you have a problem with this then either be nice about it or leave the book. Small heads up: This will contain spoilers for the first 5 Wings of Fire books from The Dragonet Prophecy to The Brightest Night. If you have not read those books yet I suggest you read them, but otherwise you are free to read this. "TWO SHALL DIE AND ONE SHALL LEARN." ______________________________________ The dragonets of destiny have given up on the prophecy. But one dragon isn't willing to let the war go on. Hare will do whatever it takes to see the war end and let the continent live in peace. She will give the SandWings a queen, though she's not sure she'd be able to watch her mother die. When Hare realizes that there's no convincing her friends to keep trying, she turns to another group of dragonets to ask them for help. Flame hates the prophecy. He hates his stupid fate and the stupid NightWing that threw him into this mess. When he finds out the prophecy was fake all along, he's more than happy to give up. He wants nothing more than to go home and see his mother, especially after all that's happened. But Hare manages to be convincing enough, and the last thing he wants is to have to live in fear of losing his mother to the war. Both groups of dragonets have lived their entire lives in a lie, but one will end the war and make Pyrrhia the continent it was before. Nightjar is a hybrid between a nightwing and a mudwing and that doesn't make her life simple at all. She doesn't know who are her true parents and she feels ignorant and empty every day. Her adoptive mother, one day decides to tell her what she knows about her real family but it is not enough for Nightjar. Why did she have not seen at least one time her real father or mother ? If they died, what happened to them ? She needs to find answers to her questions and she will do it her way, the price doesn't matter, because it is her heritage. What she knew was she was determined, but what she didn't was that this adventure would take her to her limit. (Note that this story is based on the universe of Wings Of Fire and doesn't follow the exact chronology of the original story). The wings of fire book series entirely belongs to Tui T. Sutherland.
