Flicker

The fire reached out slowly, expanding itself to her pale arm. Slowly, flames spread up her palm onto her arm. Panic seized her, but she stopped herself from yanking her hand away when she felt no pain. The fire curled, weaved itself around her pale skin. When little Aine finally got the courage to yank her hand away, she held up her fingers once again in her face, and not a thing had changed. Not a burn, not a pain. Fire was her friend.
And she wasn't sure she wanted its' friendship..
