This is a parody of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Match Girl". Except that it continues after her last match went out. This is a world where the matches are woods that catch on fire when struck strong enough with each other, fairies exist either to help you or torment you, It snows every single night throughout the whole year, and the royal family is a mysterious faction that rules the whole kingdom very differently in each of its regions. People also only die by jumping off a cliff when a voice whispers in their ears that it's time for them to go and there are no illnesses that plaque the people. Rosie, the little match girl who is actually an 18 year old girl is trying to cope up with all of these just like how a newborn would because she lost her memories two years prior to the start of the story. And an additional torment for her is the sudden disappearance of her grandmother a few months after her amnesia started. The only family she have left, her father, had also become abusive after her grandmother's disappearance. As a way to escape from this cruel reality, she had honed her imagination strong enough that sometimes she would see hallucinations of the things she longs for. But as a result of that, she ended up dying at the corner of a house on New Year's Eve. Or did she?
