Jake and Kye have been married for 5 years. Unforeseen circumstances force Jake into the position of pack Alpha. Jake still has yet to expose Kye to her Zaria powers. When war breaks out and Jake discovers the root of it stems from Kye's powers, how far will he go to keep his true love out of harm's way?
Meanwhile, Kye just wants to finally settle down and spend more time with Jake. She thought marriage would be different; long nights waiting up for her husband and countless dinners alone is not exactly what Kye wanted. Kye hates living in the pack house and the fact that Jake is Alpha but refuses to tell him how she feels. Unaware that Jake's absence is for her own good, tension mounts between the two.
