The Zhang twins never thought they'd had magic. Their mother was an industrial english woman and their father a chinese journalist with nothing really special about him. Or, he said he was. When a letter arrives in late May the truth is out, and soon the children are whisked off to the magical world of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. For Xuemei, it is the superhero origin story she had always wished for, but for Jareth it is the biggest disappointment in his life. How could he be both a wizard and a scientist? Magic was never supposed to enter the equation.

This is not a self-insertion, as I know is wont to happen with O.C. fanfics. Actually it is based around the idea that both muggle science and wizard's magic could coexist in the same world. As well, it is a study of how different cultures might view magic differently. Be warned! There will be science and mandarin pinyin sprinkled throughout.

Despite being an Outcast, she manages forms strong bonds with the other school misfits and creates a pack that is greater than the divisions of the four houses. This story will be the plot of the Harry Potter series from the perspective of my characters with their own adventures added in.
