Gabriel, masquerading as The Trickster, doesn't bow to Sam's wishes and Dean stays dead, all in an attempt to stop the Apocalypse. Things didn't turn out according to his plan.
This AU is told from Sam's POV. Contains direct quotes from Season 3 Episode 11 "Mystery Spot" and all characters belong to Supernatural, but the story is mine.
Warning: There is a mention of wanting to self-harm.
