CROOKED PATH // August Alsina

Deemed "a menace to society" and a "thug with a bad attitude" while growing up in the slums of New Orleans - no one ever thought August Alsina would amount to anything. "He'll be dead or in jail by the time he's 25." Everyone used to say. No one ever believed in him or had faith that he'd be anything more then a statistic.

But - after losing his brother and meeting the love of his life shortly afterwards, August decides to put all the energy he once put into running the streets into getting an education and mentoring other young boys he once shared the same fate with.

Everything is finally coming together for 'Young Aug' with his wedding to his long-time girlfriend appoaching and after securing a job teaching at an inner city High School. But trouble has a weird way of finding August, no matter where he goes and soon he finds himself fighting demons from his past.

Can August help save his pesky teenage students from making the same mistakes he made? Can he lead them down a different path before its too late? Or will they end up teaching him a lot more then he expected? And saving him?
