Cate Endling has always believed in fate, and knows that her sister Cassie didn't just magically disappear without a trace missing last summer. Determined to really find out what happened and to have a summer adventure, Cate heads to Old Orchard Beach for the summer to live with her aunt in Maine. But when Cate starts getting mysterious creepy messages in a bottle on the beach that lead to more clues about her sister's disappearance, she knows that this mystery must be solved, once and for all. Oh and there's the insanely hot lifeguard who's a complete and total jerk, but may be more useful in solving this mystery than Cate thinks.
