The Lone Wizard in a School of Others

Aethelred Quinn is the ONLY wizard in existence. Wizards are considered one of the most powerful species on the planet, very close to the level of Gods. However they have declined over the last several centuries due to fear, jealousy, hatred, greed, and natural causes. As such Aethelred or "Red" has been left alone in his tower, his being not known to the world as his species as become nothing more than a myth, a legend, and history. Red is very content staying inside his solitary tower, only leaving to acquire necessary materials until he comes across a vicious plan that could embroil the world in devastation and misery. Desperate both for others and his own sake, Red decides to get to the bottom of this conspiracy, enrolling himself in an academy which apparently holds the secrets as to What, Who, Where, When and most importantly, Why.
Within this Academy, Red will come face-to-face with all sorts of species and find himself amidst conflicts and alliances that had nothing to with himself before. Friends, Enemies, love and learning, Red's skills and mentality will be tested like never before, as he desperately searches for answers while trying to hide the truth of his identity, the Lone Wizard.
