A sneak peek at a fan-made story for the game "Armored Core: Verdict Day." Based around a handful of mechs I've made in the game, particularly the one named Hyperion as it searches the desolate wasteland of Earth, seeking redemption for the dead world and the dying human species that once dominated it.

[Guess what? I don't own the title of Borderlands or anything to do with the franchise. They belong to Gearbox, 2K, and all their original creators!!] Have I hit rock bottom? Am I really doing this? Yeah. I totally am... Upon waking up in an unlikely situation, you find your life is now in complete disarray. Your home, along with everything else you once knew is destroyed. Luckily, you were spared a terrible fate by being saved by an accident by one of the biggest Hyperion enemies EVER...It's Gaige! (Who didn't intend on saving anyone during her expedition and attack inside the compound you were being held in...) She has now put you under her wing as someone who could modify and tinker with her weapons. However, your relationship with her begins to blossom into something much more personal... ...Upon replaying the Borderlands series, I remembered that I really did like Gaige (the WORLDS GREATEST ENGINEER EVER). Her dialog is unique, funny, and seriously entertaining. So, being bored I decided to check the fan fiction with her name tagged on. A lot of it, was poorly written (in my opinion, no hate) and decided to dab my own take on being a possible lover in her life during her entry into Pandora.
