Ash Cole has lived in 31 houses and attended 15 schools. So when she arrives at home number 32, she expects the same as the other 31. Move in, start school, make a few friends, start to like the place, then leave. She never properly got to settle into any new house, so she doesn't see the point in hoping. Ash believes the more she hopes, the more disappointed she will become when she leaves. 
But when Ash is forced to open up to a girl at her 16th school, Ash realises she can't leave Charlie alone here to deal. She must help her. But when will Ash have to move again? And what has she kept from Charlie
