My best friend is the Queen,
My lover is an ex-Strigoi,
My friends with very bad marks,
And me I'm a free woman that was framed for accused murder of the Queen and now slowly getting to grip of life.
I'm Rose Hathaway, the next big Hathaway in the line. I'm 18 years old and I am a guardian. I'm the Queen's guardian, who also is my best friend. Her name is Lissa and she's a spirit user and my bond mate. Which makes me shadow-kissed. That is a thing that even I don't understand.
As I was told I was kissed by shadows when a bad car crash killed me but my best friend broth me back with her powers and now I'm followed by shadows for the rest of my life, which won't last long.
Spirits darkness is something both me and Lissa have problems with but mostly me because I consume it from Lissa. As I was told my aura was filled with darkness. And that's the main problem I have right now.
Not the betrayal, or all the problems with my past, nor the people who would do anything to see a stake through my heart, it's the darkness.
I need to protect her from it and from all the threats she now has.
And that's how it is...
