The Battle of New York was been won and most of Kara's memories have been restored. Haunted by the memories of her years of being an assassin while suffering from the pain of losing 67 years of her life, as well as everyone she once knew, Kara's mental health is declining. Not only that, the paranoia of Hydra still being on her tail plagues her mind every second of every day, since she has had many encounters with the dangerous assassin, the Winter Soldier since the day she left Hydra. Steve Rogers hates to see his friend in such a battered state, so he does what he can to help make her feel better; but, it's proven difficult when she declines every offer he makes her. One night, just as Kara had feared, the Winter Soldier strikes once again. Only instead of attacking her, he attacks Director Nick Fury. Kara manages to protect him, but he is attacked again after they visit Steve's apartment with disturbing news. Now forced into getting involved, Kara joins Steve and Natasha on their quest to get to the bottom of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s potentially not-so-innocent motives behind what they call "Project Insight."
