"When you're a lone wolf you learn to become your own company" I mutter bitterly. A soft tongue rasps my pelt so it flattens down from its fluffy position.
"You don't have to be alone anymore" she whispers in my torn ear. I dodge her Amber gaze and look down in discomfort.
Liar...
Having Amnesia is already bad, but living alone with an annoying crow and a witty fox that steals your prey, life is tough. When Jay, a young lone wolf' stumbles across a pack he makes efforts trying to fit in. But with a dark and unfaithful past he can't seem to remember and a group of rogues trying to hunt him down
, acceptance isn't easy.
When the pack Vermilia takes in a sketchy wolf hybrid, Jay notices darkness in his heart and vengeance. With a threatening plot to take over the pack and kill every wolf with out mercy, Jay tries and warn his pack but ends up getting banished for 'false accusation'. With his loved one still in danger, regardless that he doesn't belong, Jay tries to take down their treacherous pack mate.
Can Jay save them? Or will the whole forest rise to a new but dark era...

Excerpt from the story: Running. That's what I was doing. From what you ask me. From wolves. They've been chasing me for a while now. The sound of the wolves howls and the sight of two of them came into view. As one tried to jump onto me, I swerved and then climbed onto a tree. All the wolves surrounded the tree, growling and jumping up trying to get to me. One of the wolves jumped up high enough to the branch that I'm on. I hissed an clawed at him, hitting his snout. The wolf whimpered from the claw mark I left him and growled at me. Then they all went quiet and looked behind them. I followed their gaze. That's when I seen him. The alpha of the pack in his intimidating wolf form. He growled at the other wolves, and they all left. My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. I ran as fast as I could go, eyes searching the forest floor for a big stick or something that I could use to defend myself. "Mara Leigh!" the voice came again, this time more insistent. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.Complete
