In a land of dragons, it's weary to know that one day you can end up as food for those above, that any day a dragon can come down from the sky and decide your fate. Those who wish to survive have to be resourceful, especially when even your own kind will throw you out to be food for the wolves. When discovering a past that had been thought been long lost in the scorching, River may finally have a chance to fight back against the world, but even the most tragic consequences can be caused by good intentions. The main story for my OC Spirit. The other two Stories she is in are different AUs I'm exploring. Spirit, a Nightwing sandwing hybrid, attends jade mountain. She arrives at sundown with a seemingly fake reason for being late. It throws Sunny, her adopted aunt, into worry as it seems her niece has changed. But why? And why does she keep having visions of nothing but pitch blackness? Did something happen to her niece? And what will happen when a bully Skywing keeps making her doubt that being a hybrid is somehow wrong? Will Spirit be able to recover her regular self or will she give up and become a doormat? And how will a secret admirer come into play? Especially when Spirit begins to get more visions of strange giant creatures deep within the ocean. Book 1: A Hybrid Named Crimson (Wings of Fire Fanfic) by Crimsondragon82

This story takes place only 10 years after the time of peace began. Hybrids are hunted by all but the Rainwings and the Sandwings. Dragons don't trust them because they don't belong to one tribe.
