Coming from a totally Christian and completely religious family does not really have it's merits. Sure, it's a tight nit society but families like Kaitlin's tended to be way too dramatic over what they wanted their children to do or even listen to. After spending a few months at a Christian school over some drama she and her best friend unintentionally got into, she's back.
She likes to play at being the goody two shoes. After all, when you're the goody two shoes no one has any right to complain, right? But she's about to discover that there's more to life than being good and excelling all of her parent's wishes.
One day, after meeting her best friend after so many months, she comes into unlucky (or perhaps lucky?) contact of Nicole who is her complete opposite in every way. Whereas Kaitlin likes to play at being the goody girl, Nicole seems to be a complete thug. While Kaitlin has her own circle of friends Nicole seems to be the loner in her own circle of... "Acquaintances." Basically, they are like day and night.
Slowly but surely, their meeting flips their entire world upside down. Everything they thought they knew gets rearranged. As Kaitlin struggles out of her family's shadow she needs to learn that there's more to other people than meets the eye. Similar to Kaitlin Nicole needs to realize that there's happiness even in the darkest places.
Will this be a happy romance? Or a doomed tragedy? Or even a little bit in between?
