Evelyn: lonely, lost, broken. She's been bullied since the eighth grade. Without any friends or siblings, she turns to music as a stress reliever. Her parents are never home and the only time people talk to Evelyn is to tell her how worthless she is. She can't seem to find her place in this world and wants to end it all.

Maya: lonely, lost, broken. She used to live the high life. Maya showed the world her beautiful voice through YouTube videos and was eventually signed by a record label. She had millions of fans around the world and loads of friends. But after she makes an unforgivable mistake, all of those friends abandon her and so do most of the fans. People don't come up to her asking for autographs or pictures anymore. They approach her to push her down and tell her how worthless she is.

All of their suffering ends when the two 17-year-old girls bond over their love for One Direction. And the two set out to make their dreams come true. Together.
