A wave of intense magic surges through me and my breath quickens. The blood pulses faster in my veins and my mind swirls as I transform involuntarily. I drop to my knees as pain radiates from every inch of my body. No one told me this would hurt so much. My bones pop and snap and rejoin into a new creature. Wings erupt from my back and I feel the scales cover my skin. My neck stretches and my jaw grows huge. I slide my tongue across the sharp teeth that emerge and I again try to open my eyes but they are still sealed shut.

All I get are flashes, snippets of dark shadows, sneering faces. Pain always follows these nightmares, these memories. I was found, taken in, but I have no way of knowing if I only escaped the frying pan just to jump into the fire. I don't understand these people, these wolves. They don't understand me, either. Our words mean nothing to each other, they're no more than sounds. We use gestures, facial expressions, body language like the beasts we seem to be. I shuddered. It had never been so dark, nor so quiet before. There was always the light of the moon to guide me. The sound of the wind against the trees. I shook the thought from my mind and continued further into the wood. Then I saw it. A white light spread across the ground in front of me. The clouds had parted from where they were, revealing the moon at its fullest. I stared in awe. It had never been so bright. The ambiance began to come back. The wind began to dance with the trees. I closed my eyes. The scent of oak filled my nose and exhaled through my mouth. The aroma filled me with exhilaration. It filled me with something I couldn't explain. I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time. Although it was something I wasn't used to feeling, I craved it deeply. I felt happy. I felt as if nothing else mattered than this moment. I opened my eyes. Everything seemed clearer. I could see the particles of dust flying in the beam of light that shone around me. I wanted to stay here for longer. I wanted this moment to last forever. Until I saw the wolf. It was hidden among the fold of trees behind me. It stared at me in aggravation. It's brows furrowed in my direction. It's face, livid with anger, revealed a set of unpleasant and sharp teeth. It began to move slightly forward. The wolf bounded towards me. It happened so quickly I had no time to react. It's limbs outstretched. It's teeth bared. My body, paralyzed from fear, refused to move. My lip quivered, urged to call for help, but no help would come. I was too deep into the woods. Have you ever walked outside at night? When it's so dark and you can't see a thing at first? I often do that and I'm never afraid. Because I know that after a while my eyes will adjust to the dark and I will be able to make things stand out. I'm always safe. I always know where I am. Waller kneeled down with his arms extended, offering Allen his fathers cloak. "But... Uncle Waller. What-" I started crying, but kept a brave face. "I understand Uncle *Sniff* I will be brave for the family and Mom." I took the cloak from his hands, and something clicked inside my head. A voice came through to my head, more a whisper than a normal voice. Uncle Waller stood up and walked away. I embraced the cloak, my tears falling on it, as I remembered my fathers scent. "I don't know what happened... But I promise you this Father, I will find the person who did this to you, and make it pay for taking you away from our family". I swore with anger burning in my heart. "I must grow strong, just like Father, Uncle and Grandpa... I will become The strongest Warrior there ever was, you will see Father..." I walked back inside the house. "Allen... You have promise..." *Warning ahead content contains animal abuse It was dimmed. I couldn't see. Oh, but I could smell. The sweet scents all around me. Then I smelled her. I immediately knew who she was. My mother. My creator. I went over to her screaming my way between my two siblings. Although I was just a puppy, I could recognize my surroundings. When I was finished drinking the milk from my mother, I moved away. I felt a hard surface underneath me. There were plenty of other scents too. One that smelled delicious. I also couldn't hear, but I could feel movement. I was removed from the hard surface and handed a much softer place. There were these weird bumps over the softer surface. It moved me around, and I was set back down in place on the floor. A couple of weeks passed though I couldn't feel it. Each day felt as if I was still a newborn. Time was not essential in my mind. As I got older, my senses started to sharpen. I could see and hear, but the one thing I couldn't see was color. All I saw was black and gray. My mother was very furry, but so was I. I would often smell her, and I liked how her scent smelled sweet. When I could, I would find food around a dumpster. We were learning more as we got older. I had two sisters and two brothers, as I was one of the girls. We spoke to each other often, my siblings and me. "Let's go, children." Mother said to us in a soft voice. We knew how to communicate. When we fought over food mother, would tell at us. I didn't like being in trouble. I was usually quiet. One day I learned the soft surface that I had encountered was a human hand. I had felt that same surface when a human came up to us. The human loaded all of us in their vehicle. We came upon this strange building. The human let us out in this strange building. There were many scents. I couldn't place them all at once. I concentrated on one specific scent. Strawberry. It smelled so sweet, and it started to hurt my nose.Lengkap
The Blazing Shadow
It's dark... Everything is so dark... But like it or not I've gotten used to how dark this place can get, it's not like there are windows in the castle dungeon. Eventually my ears pick up some moaning noises from what I can only assume are other prisoners... His prisoners. Looking around I come across the same landscape as always, a black stone cell with these obsidian bars that prevent me from escaping from here... And as a bonus I still have these demonite shackles holding me to the cell wall. But like I said, I got used to it... There's just one thing in this cell that irritates me deeply, sometimes more than him. There is a leak inside my cell, a leak that seems to only come to torment me when there is no more light outside... Or at least it seems that I only notice its existence when the stillness of the night dominates this place. I don't know if it's the lack of content in my mind... Maybe the boredom of this place is finally driving me insane. But I swear, with every drop that falls against this cold floor, it feels like a huge weight falling inside my head, I can't stand listening to that drip anymore, my head won't stop hurting because of it. But I heard something else that made me forget about the dripping for a few seconds, it was the noise of footsteps, footsteps that echoed throughout the dungeon, and I knew exactly who those footsteps belonged to. A few more harrowing seconds pass before his figure forms in the shadows, he approaches my cell and just... Stops. He stopped completely in front of my cell, with his hands behind his back, saying absolutely nothing and just staring at me. This... This irritates me so much. - What do you want? - I growl the question out looking down again, I don't want to have to look at the cocky smile of this... Monster. - A new job has appeared for you... - His voice echoes as his footsteps did before throughout the dungeon.Lengkap
