I nodded my head, taking it in. I could understand why they would want guardians. But they couldn’t have them. Maybe if they did take over Regnodelre. But it didn’t seem like a good enough reason.
“There was something else wasn’t there. They didn’t just want guardians.”
Barmy didn’t answer me. Nora walked over to us and laid down at our feet.
“It has something to do with me doesn’t it. Why else would they want to sink the ship that they knew was my only escape. Why else would I have to run and hide with whoever you’re taking me to.”
Barmy still didn’t answer immediately.
