Lilly Tailaway could never be who she was. There would always be that jump, and no matter how small the break was, she couldn't leap. At least not alone. But she was alone, all except for Mary, her best friend, and Jake, her brother. Her parents died when she was little, and she and Mary did the best they could. Mary was also an orphan, but they all lived together and managed to survive. Barely. Until the storm came, that is.
